What a world, what a time, we are living in.
The rug of familiarity has been pulled out from beneath our feet
Nothing is as it was, and who knows if anything is as it seems - we just cant count on things in the way that we used to.
Our brains & nervous systems - they have two main challenges at the moment:
1. life is not predictable in the way it used to be so our old ways of living and approaching life aren't working any more. This is tiring - we have to think about things we didn't have to think about before, and we are more often than not in a state of overwhelm, which pushes us back into our primal reactions... that likely don't meet the moment or serve us anymore… increasing stress and so on....
2. fear is in the air, the water, the media, coming from the government, coming from people we love, coming from within us.
Being in fear shuts our brain down - we lose our capacity to think, we fall into increasing reactivity, and the only thing we might have on line is the primal/reptilian brain - the higher reasoning capacities of our pre-frontal cortex is largely if not completely off line.
Decision making becomes next to impossible, and doubt can increase exponentially
At the same time your nervous system is ramping up - stress, anxiety, overwhelm increase. We can even end up so wired we have no idea that we are wired, and most of us were pretty wired to start with.
This is the world we are currently living in - and you do not have to be stuck here.
Working with your nervous system, moving your body, and exploring breathwork all address the levels of healing that you need in body mind and spirit, to support you in navigating the change and unpredictability that is our current world.
