If a building or structure has [structural] integrity, it is considered to be of sound, solid construction, fit for purpose and in good condition.
so can you, and this is where real integrity comes into play.
Lets get back to INTEGRITY - the kind of word-term that is getting thrown around more and more. What does the dictionary have to say about it?
integrity | ĭn-tĕg′rĭ-tē
noun
Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code; incorruptibility
The state of being unimpaired; soundness.
The quality or condition of being whole or undivided; completeness.
or wikipedia:
Integrity is the practice of being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values. [1] [2] [3] In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one's actions.
If we are ‘in our integrity’ - steadfastly adhering to our values, with honesty and accuracy in our actions we will also have naturally clear boundaries.
This is the inside-out version of boundaries - naturally arising rather installed.
Know who you are, how you operate, and you will not only know when to say no and change direction, you might not even have to think about it. You will also be less likely to notice or engage with things or people that compromise your integrity - which is to say you will steer away fro interactions t hat require you to shape, mould or rework yourself to fit in, be accepted, meet an expectation - with true integrity we can’t do that.
Uncovering your own structural integrity, you will find yourself centred, strong and grounded in the love that you are. Truely able to be loving of yourself and others
It’s not about being a good person or getting it right.
Or doing the ‘should’s or ‘the right thing’ - two excellent ways to kill your own spirit.
It’s not putting everyone before you.
Integrity is getting to know yourself, as you are in each unfolding moment, with kindness and honesty.
Not settling for mush or taking one for the team.
Then we lose you. You lose you.
Integrity - whole, complete, You as you are.
what would happen if we all operated out of a true integrity??
What is one small thing you could do right know to give yourself an experience of your own integrity? the true quality of You, no matter what anyone else thinks??
