what!
here's some thoughts…
what can make it so hard
to hold
that change
to maintain it, even when you really
want it?!
and why is it that so often other things go out the window
we wait for the change in routine
for the day off
the holiday
the new something that is going to 'change' everything
and then
something. else. happens.
we drop the old but where is the new?
before we know it we are floundering or back doing what we did before, frustrated as all fuck.
one of the things we often have to deal with
after crossing the threshold of the gates of change is a shift in orientation.
with the old and familiar, the wiring was in place
now, you are wire free
(at least a little bit)
which can leave a lot of options
instead perhaps of doing what had to be done or doing things the way we had learned (external orientation)
it can be that now we have oriented to a more internal kind of wiring, that is our own wiring
but we just don’t know what that is quite yet
like a new pair of shoes
it might take a little wearing in
some getting used to
it is unmapped territory and instead of drowning in overwhelm
falling back into the old
imagine what might happen
if you instead
get curious
exploring this 'new' unexplored territory of you and your life?!
what if you
consciously
do things differently.
allow yourself the opportunity to be curious
to experience some new results
to experience ‘new’ parts of you
